Centre's Mandate

The mandate of Centre for Livelihoods’ is to make conscious efforts for capacity building of the rural livelihoods professionals by enhancing their knowledge and skills, through training and exposure so as to enable them in efficient delivery of services in line with government’s endeavour to improve the quality of life in rural India.

Objectives

  • To carryout research studies and action research on sustainable rural livelihoods so as provide inputs in policy framing and programme design.
  • To sensitise the professionals in rural livelihood on the importance of sustainable livelihoods framework, strategies, activities, outcomes, security, assets and livelihoods content through the means of trainings, conferences, symposiums, seminars and workshops.
