Centre's Mandate

The mandate of Centre for Livelihoods’ is to make conscious efforts for capacity building of the rural livelihoods professionals by enhancing their knowledge and skills, through training and exposure so as to enable them in efficient delivery of services in line with government’s endeavour to improve the quality of life in rural India.

Objectives

• To carryout research studies and action research on sustainable rural livelihoods so as provide inputs in policy framing and programme design.
• To sensitise the professionals in rural livelihood on the importance of sustainable livelihoods framework, strategies, activities, outcomes, security, assets and livelihoods content through the means of trainings, conferences, symposiums, seminars and workshops.

   National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) – Ajeevika, Mahila Kisan Sashaktikaran Pariyojana (MKSP), Ajeevika - Skill Development Programme; Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP); Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS); National Horticulture Mission (NHM); Rashtriya Krushi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) etc.
